Mr. Clovis Johnson In August of 1972, Sterling received Mr. Clovis E. Johnson as Mr. Jones, new Assistant. Mr. Johnson is a gradu- ate of Texas Southern Universitv with the degrees of Bachelor of Arts and Masters in Education. He graduated from Booker T. Washington Senior High School in 1960. He is a member of various community organizations and activities, including the Optimist Club of South Park. Mrs. Dorthy Cortemeglia Mrs. Dorthy Cortemeglia is our Assistant Principal in charge of girls. Mrs. Cortemeglia is a graduate of both Sam Houston State University and the University of Houston, holding a Bachelor of Science degree and a Masters in Education. She was origi- nally a counselor at Sterling before becoming Assistant Principal in 1966. Prior to coming to Sterling, she was also a counselor and science teacher at Cullen Junior High School. Her spare- time hobbies include hunting, fishing, traveling to places like Puerto Rico, the Bahamas, and raising Black Angus cat- tle on her farm in Crockett. 219
