Class of 'Sl Sponsors Dances These past four years have been pleasant and successful years for the class of '51, partially due to the fact that they were able to enjoy their senior year in the new building. Their interests were divided between athletics and social activities. The main event of their freshman year was a successful Freshman Party, under the leadership of joel Rice and Sally Xlosher. That year they had one of the best frosh-soph football teams in the history of SHS. The Hrst year ofiicers were Chuck Cole, presidentg Kalah XVesner, vice-presidentg Carol Camps, secretaryg and Stan Doden, treasurer. Many couples attended the l'Rainbow Romp, sponsored by the class dur- ing its sophomore year. The presiding officers for 1948-49 were joel Rice, presidentg Bob Peugh, vice-presidentg Lora Lea VVolf, secretaryg and Mar- lene Kenner, treasurer. One of the most exciting things that took place in their high school years was the junior-Senior Prom- Harmony In Heaven, which highlighted their junior year. It was under the capable leadership of Kalah VVesner and john Michel. The class also sponsored l'The Pirate Pranccf' 16
