U.JX. One- Act Play The following is a story of the trials and tribulations of a cast playing A Storm Is Breaking. Jeanie and Royce were the original leads. Royce, however, got the mumps. At that point, Troy was asked to take his part. Without further trouble, the play went to district, where it won. Jeanie was named best actress and Troy best actor. Then Nelwyn got the measles. Rosanne took her place on the thunder machine.” In about five days, Troy got them too. Royce got his part back. However, Troy came back just in time to go to regional. At the last minute, Janie couldn't make it. Rosanne also took her part (Nelwyn was back). The play finally went to regional where it won second. Jeanie was named to the all-star cast. 42 U.J.jC.—'District Grade School Competitors--(back) David Currington, Gary Duncan, Johnny Medina, Pat Dearen.
