CLASS WILL We, the Senior Class of I950-'51, being of strong mind and body do hereby bequeath and relinquish our dearest possessions and privileges. To the teachers we leave the happy thoughts that they will again be supreme rulers of their classes until they get another group as ambitious as the Seniors of 1950- 51. To the Juniors, we leave the title SENIORS and our thanks for a wonderful Junior and Senior Day. To the Sophomores we leave all the happy memories of our past school years to do with as they please. To the Freshmen, we leave the reminiscence of a wonderful initiation day and the hope that you will have as many fond memories to carry away after four (or maybe more) years in Sterling High School as we now have. To all the students that will some day become Seniors we leave the challenge for them to live up to the standards and high goals we have striven toward. DON GANN wills his school hat (droopy brim included) to O. F. Carper. With good care, O. F., this will make you appear much brighter throughout your next school year. ALVIN MOORE wills his wonderful physique and his way with the girls to Joe Mullins. Be very careful with this most prized possession, Joe. ELIZABETH HILDEBRAND leaves her natural talent to grow tall to Patsy Davis. Do not overexercise this right, however. ELROY BUTLER bequeaths to Billy Joe Swann his ability to grow a beard. This always makes one appear more manly. WILLIAM BLAIR wills his ability to play football to Bobby Blair--with the express desire that Bobby will pass the same on to another Blair. This heirloom must remain in the family. HARRY BLANEK leaves his much used water gun (used once too often) to Garland Cates. Caution: beware of Galveston. PASCAL BROWN wills his speed on the gridiron to Hal Knight, Jr. This should give you a cinch for a place in the starting line-up, Hal, Jr. MELLVINIA HUFF wills her basketball ability to Ginger Lane. You'll be a star some day, Ginger. SUE LOWE wills her popularity to Mary Davis. This should make Mary Super XX. CLINTON HODGES leaves his girl friend from the Freshman Class to most any Freshman that wants her. But, remember, Hodges will not be too far away. BARBARA GARRETT bequeaths her line of sweet talk to Charlene Drennan. Sometimes this does get one into trouble, however. HENRY BLIZNAK wills his ability to compose and sing love songs to his partner, Larry Glass. You're on your own now, Larry. MARIAN O'DELL bequeaths her ability to remain quiet through a Study Hall to Charlotte Berry. Do not abuse this, Charlotte! LEROY BUTLER leaves his draft status to Hollis Kennemer. One more classification wouldn't matter anyway, Hollis. DARLENE McENTIRE leaves her way with the Army to Janey Brafford. Darlene plans to be an Old Maid, anyway. LOY MITCHEL wills his ability to get along with teachers to Tommy Cole, with the hope that the improvement will be as great with Tommy as it was with Loy. Signed, THE SENIOR CLASS OF 1951
