CLASS PROPHECY On May 21, 1971, just twenty years after graduation of the class of 1951, a committee was asked to make a survey of the class. The following summary was compiled from information obtained from ques-tionaires sent to all members of the graduating class of Sterling High School of 1951; ALVIN MOORE, is working on a project to light up the moon for all lovers four weeks a month instead of one. This will mean a substantial increase in his fabulous business-Moore's Moonlight Serenade Ser- vice. HENRY BLIZNAK has just returned from a tour of all ranches in the United States. He has been appointed to present a petition from his plaintiffs in their plea to the government asking for a larger allotment of rain for next year's grasslands. Incidentally, Henry, the richest rancher in Texas, has been •labeled the Catch of the Year . DARLENE McENTIRE has gained international fame with her lecture on a current problem, Why Every Girl Should Be Married . She has been chosen by the M. O. M. Society (Millionaire Old Maids) to appear in Congress and introduce a bill To insure a husband to every 25-year-old woman in Texas . ELROY BUTLER'S new novel, The Sixth Down on the Ten Yard Line is now to be made into a movie. This novel, voted as a best seller last year, describes many unusual techniques of the game, such as quarterbacking by telephone. And before I forget, Elroy plays the leading role in the movie. Dr. HARRY BLANEKhas become a well-known physician in Wrest Texas after thirteen long years spent in intensive study. His many patients have made him a wealthy man. A recent financial investment is the purchasing of a controlling interest in West Texas' largest funeral home, operated by his old friend, LOY MITCHEL. Loy, known as the friendly undertaker, has been complaining, however, because Dr. Blanek keeps him so busy covering up his mistakes. This doesn't leave Loy much time to play and sing western ballads. BARBARA GARRETT, voted the Best Dressed Woman of 1965 , has recently been seen sneaking around in blue jeans and a T shirt.--Could it be that old love for West Texas coming back after all these years spent in Washington? PASCAL BROWN has set a new world's record for flagpole sitting at 260 days. His devoted wife, Darlene, has been delivering his meals on time every day, and the Society for Wives of Flagpole Sitters has voted her as the Number One Lady for the Year . Pascal has plans for coming back down to earth again soon. ELIZABETH HILDEBRAND, who has served for many years on the faculty of Stephens College, has been named to fill the vacancy by the retirement of Emily Post. Elizabeth promises us that many changes will be made. We're anxiously awaiting her newest publication, Cowboy Etiquette . SUE LOWE is a firm believer in the statement, Old Square Dancers never die----they're just carried off . However, age has made it necessary for the do-si-do lady to give up her much-loved hobby, and she is now proving herself to be a good neighbor by teaching all the kids in the neighborhood how to march. Could any of this talent be attributed to the Pep Squad of SHS? WILLIAM BLAIR is proving to be quite a strain on the nerves of the public with his many hot rod jobs. One never knows what the cloud of dust in the road might bring forth under his direction. MELLVIN1A HUFF has gone to France to study the Frenchmen—er, I mean, to study the newest in French hat designs. Could be that the first statement was more truthful. After raising 15 champion lambs, CLINTON HODGES has decided to give the other boys a chance. Clinton is widely known throughout all sheep and goat raisers associations for his many accomplishments in the field of Improved Sheep for Depleted Grasslands . The Clinton Hodges cup is now the top honor in the Sterling County Stock Show. MARIAN O'DELL has returned to her old home town of Grandfalls to teach Girls' Physical Education. She is also sponsor of the Pep Squad. Could this be where the Cowboys got some inside info about the Sterling Eagles? LEROY BUTLER is still in South Africa selling Buicks to the natives. The sale of a car also includes a course in Safe Driving in Ten Easy Lessons taught by Mr. Butler. He certainly has a nice bank account to come home to---just a tip for any interested girls. DON GANN, who spends most of his time doodling on his 14-foot mahogony desk, has been named to a top position in a contest, How to Pick a Secretary . Judging from the 20 beauties he employs, this honor has not been misplaced. What a lucky guy Don turned out to be. And last, the sponsors of the class, MR. and MRS. TILLERSON are still trying to help the Senior Classes make money.
