This is Stephenville High School e a changing, complex system of education H a dominate building accustomed to burning midnight oil - a place where thoughts are shared and opinions are formed f an organized network of clubs f a composite of teachers, books, and students e a myriad of achievements e an embodiment of emotions - a tabernacle of dreams - a harmony of voices and music - a descending path to failure - a stairway to success - a moment of youth e THE TIME OF OUR LIVES. The 1970 Jacket Staff recognizes SHS to be all of this and more. Daily, we have collected, sorted, and assembled the things that have made SHS unique. We have discovered that the pulse of school life has quickened, that the challenges are harder to meet, that more is being demanded from students and teachers than ever before. Yet, there is one element above all others that makes 1969-1970 different from any SHS year in the past or any year yet to come. That one element is you. You as a person set 1969-1970 apart. Your presence here makes this year the time of our lives. We have attempted to presewe in words and pictures the happenings of the past year. Not all of the following pages contain highlight or spectacular events. Many of them speak softly of quiet times and lonely moments.
