The year began with the election of officers who were as follows: Joe Jackson, president, Keith Lackey, vice-president, Betty Lackey, secretary, Frances Shuffield, reporter, and Brian Fincher, sargeant-at-arms. Miss Ogan and Mr. Crabtree were the class sponsors. The activities of the class consisted of a weinner-roast in the fall, and a picnic in the spring. In 1949, eighty-nine strong, we enrolled as sophomores. This year the class sponsors were Miss Williams and Coach Johnsofn. The class officers were: Kirby Keahey, president, William McElyea, vice-president, Ruth Howell, secretary, Patsy Mull, reporter, and Carolyn Reese, treasurer. The leading activity was a hayride, which was enjoyed by everyone. The year of '50 - '51 was a very successful one. The: juniors worked very hard to raise money for the J unior-Senior banquet, which was the main event of the year. The sponsors this year were Mrs. Whyburn and Coach Johnson. The officers were: Curt Fallin, president, Arlie Brown, vice-president, Rosemary Spindor and Donald Brooks, co-secretaries, Margie McCleskey and Harry Braeuer, co-treasurers, Ruth Howell and Arlen, Edgar, co-reporters, Patsy Mull and Kirby Keahey, oo-sargeants- at-arms. The year of '51 - '52 was the best of all, especially for the twenty-five students who started out together in the first grade. The senior class officers were: Arlie Brown, president, Robert Langley, vice-president, Carolyn Reese, secretary, Rose- mary Spindor and Arlen Edgar, co-treasurers, Janice Wood, -reporter, and Jimmy Howell, sargeant-at-arms. The class sponsors this year were Coach Johnson, Miss Oatman and Mrs. Starling. The highlight of the year was the senior trip. Most of the money for this was raised by having charge of the concession stands forf the home football games. It was also raised in various other ways. .14-
