After several days they became accustomed to their new places and settled down to become an asset to the school. They were fortunate in drawing Miss Hester as their sponsor and in having Monty Swatzell as their president. The Outstanding event of the year was the presentation of a three act play, Keeping Up Appearances. The sophomore bcys were active in all types of athletics. As Juniors this group continued to keep the good record they had made as underclassmen. They elect- ed Edwin Lee Burnett as their president. Mildred Hensarling was chosen school sweetheart. In April the class play, The Hto Doo, was presented. The last and biggest event of the year was the Junior-Senior Banquet, a really unique affair, for the hall was decorated to simulate a Hawaiian night club. The theme was carried out in the menu. Nor were ukuleles and grass-skirted girls absent. This group made a splendid record for themselves in their Hnal year at high school. Again Mildred Hensarling was elected schotl sweetheart. James Farmer was elected president of the class. In athletics and other sports the class was well represented. Practically the entire football and basketball teams were made up of seniors. Their class play was Saved by the Belle, a clever and enjoyable three act comedy. Eight seniors were on the staff of the annual. At graduation we will break regretfully the school ties. It is with confidence, however, we face the future. We hope that with the preparation gained in this school we may well fill our allotted places in the adult World. -1 2-.
