Monday, june 9, was the date set for our outing. Oh, how we watched the clouds get blacker and blacker on that day. We feared we would have to stay home. When it began to rain our spirits really sunk. With only faint hopes of being allowed to go we picked u our bathing suits and went to school? The more people that arrived, the more determined we ecame. By the time most of the class had ar- rived, the sun began to peek through the clouds. We loaded our cars and drove to the lake. Except for one shower we had a beautiful day to enjoy swimming and boating. Indoor games plus a never-ending suplply of cokes made it an unforgettable ay of fun.
