MIRROR A ai l K XM CLASS OF 1941 LUCY SCHAFFER-Lucy, one of the few quiet members of the senior class, was a diligent member of the Hallowe'en Social committee in her junior year. In her freshman and sophomore years, Lucy chose sewing club, and in her senior year, the needlework club. Her plans as yet are uncertain. ATHRYN SCHATZLE-This year Kath- ryn was a member of the Mirror', staff and press club. Last year she helped with the Halloweien Social, and belonged to the math club. In her freshman and sophomore years she was a sewing club member. Her hobbies are reading, cro- cheting, and bowling. She plans to take nurses' training. JOHN SCHLENNER- Tut , who served on the high school safety patrol his soph- omore year, now does N. Y. A. work outside school. As hobbies he likes art and printing, and he has been in the airplane and leathercraft clubs his last two years. He plans to attend trade school if possible. LA VAUN SCHOTT-La Vaun participated MARY SELISKY-Mary, a typist for civil- ian defense, served on the Christmas wreath committee this year. Last year she served on the Hallowe'en Social cider garden committee, and crocheting club. In her sophomore year she was a glee club member. Her plans are uncertain. BEATRICE SERFASS- Beaty participat- ed in the operetta her junior year. A member of the mixed chorus three years, sophomore, junior, and senior, she be- longed to glee club her freshman year. Bicycle riding, horse-back riding, and embroidering interest her outside school. Beatrice's future is undecided. CLAUDE SERFASS-Claude, who spent his time after school working at a store, has as hobbies hunting, fishing, mechanic work, roller-skating, and reading comic magazines. His final year he was a member of the industrial arts club, while checkers interested him his jun- ior year. He plans to find a job. EDWARD SERFASS- Eddie has played baseball and taken the industrial arts club the last two years. Baseball, bas- ketball, bowling, and hunting rate with this athletic-minded lad as hobbies. In his sophomore year Eddie was a Hi-Y member. He plans to find a job and work after high school. eighteen in the operetta her junior year and work- ed on the Hallowe'en Social. She has been in mixed chorus her last three years of high school and was in glee club her freshman year. Swimming and ice skat- ing are her hobbies. LaVaun's plans after graduation are uncertain.

RROR ERNEST PEARSOL-Ernest, the big man of our class, was a member of the senior class wreath committee and belonged to junior sportsman and fishing clubs. He busied himself on the farm outside school while Hy tying, fishing, and stamp col- lecting are his hobbies. His plans are uncertain. STEPHEN POLOKOVICS- Spark hopes to find his future in electrical welding or as a machinist. He was a member of the sportsman's club in '39 and '40, the camera club in '41, and finished with the rifle 'club in '42. Steve was a member of the industrial arts course. JANE POLSKY-'tJennie worked on the senior class play ticket committee and the Hallowe'en Social cider committee. In her sophomore year she participated in the May Day Festival and the Christ- mas program her freshman year. Bowl- ing and swimming are her hobbies and she belonged to mixed chorus and nature study clubs. Her plans are uncertain. l ELEANORE POTISK-'tElla , a Tri-Hi-Y ' girl and a member of the glee club for the last four years, has been on the senior class play ticket committee, wreath com- mittee, and basketball and football re- freshment committees. In addition Elea- nore was a varsity girls' basketball play- er the last two years. She plans to enter training at the New York Hospital. CLASS OF 1942 JOHN POWERS-Co-sports editor of the Mirror , Yhonno has been active in golf club, making the team in his junior year. A member of the Hi-Y club, he is an avid tennis and bowling fan, although skiing is his favorite sport. His plans are uncertain. JOSEPH PSARSKY- Curly , the accor- E .4 at S6V6l'ltCE'T1 dion player, has been on the S. K. S. gym team and the Slovak dramatic club four years outside school, and served as chairman for the senior wreath commit- tee and vice-president of his homeroom this year. Now working as a pin-boy at the Neighborhood House, Curlie,s plans are indefinite. BETTE ROWE-Betty, on the Hallowe'en Social cider garden committee last year, served on the Christmas wreath com- mittee and did defense work this year. Her freshman year she was a member of the glee club and a member of the sewing club the last two years. Betty's plans are to attend the Hackensack School of Nursing. GLADYS SCHAFFER- Glad typed for the Mirror and was prompter for the senior class play. She worked on the Hallowe'en Social and after transferring from Aquashicola school joined the needlework and art clubs. Drawing and collecting pictures are her hobbies. Gladys' plans after graduation are as yet uncertain.

,RROR CLASS OF 1942 -' RANDELL SERFASS- Doc , a cheerful member of the senior class, busied him- self outside of school by digging graves. He is an accomplished virtuoso of hilly billy rhythm and was a member of the auto drivers club. Doc plans to fur- ther his education by attending Echol's Embalming School of Philadelphia. OLGA SHELLHAMMER-This Tri-Hi-Y girl served as a typist for the Mirror , as well as a member on the Christmas wreath committee, and the basketball and football refreshment committees dur- ing the past year. In her junior year, Olga was on the cider committee for the Social. She plans to attend Bethlehem Business College. BARBARA S H E P H E R D-A Tri-Hi-Y member for two years, Sheppy partic- ipated in the operetta three years, girls' track last year, and helped with civilian defense work this year. In '39 and '40, she was a member of the dramatic club, and a glee club member in '41 and '42, Her plans are to attend Moravian. ALICE SIEGMOND- Alley Oop served on the wreath committee, the senior class play ticket committee, and the refresh- ment committee for the senior class party. CARL SMITH- Smitty , a pinboy at So- kol Hall, his final year took part in the senior class play, and was a member of the senior class wreath committee. '4Smitty's interest in airplanes can be seen by his selection of the airplane club in '40 and '41 and by his ambition to join the United States Air Corps. ADA SNYDER-Ada, an orchestra mem- ber four years, belonged to Tri-Hi-Y and served on the Christmas wreath and class play ticket committees this year. Last year she was a debating team member and chairlady of the Hallowe'en Social cider stand. Her plans are uncertain at present. . -- nineteen
