MIRROR R MICHAEL KOST--The 'tHamburger King , who worked at the Luncheonctte after school, was the football manager his sen- ior year as well as a member of the wreath committee. A loyal Hi-Y mem- ber for three years, his hobby is follow- ing sports activities. His ambition is to ,loin the United States Navy or Merchant Marine. HELEN KRAWCHUK-'tScratch', was a member of the cast of the senior class play and a typist for the Mirror . In her junior and senior years, she was a basketball varsity member. In addition, Helen was a member of the gym club four years. Her plans are uncertain. GLENN KRESGE- Lamebrain ended his high school career after having partici- pated in track and basketball three years, football one year, the senior class play, and in Hi-Y three years. He also served on the commencement pageant commit- tee, the senior issue of the Mirror , and as chairman of the senior prom. He hopes to attend college. MORRIS KUEHNER-Morris, a member of the physics and checker clubs, was a member of the senior finance committee. He is a very patient lad which is readily seen as he has for his hobby fishing. When not busying himself with studies he finds time for his secondary hobby of sports. He plans to attend college but is undecided as to choice. fou CLASS OF 194 JAMES KELLEY-'tJack demonstrated hi athletic prowess by playing on the Ram Club and the P. H. S. baseball team. member of the wreath committee an various refreshment committees, he wa active in junior sportsman and riHe clubs. Sports are his hobbies and, if the Navy does not claim Jack , he will seek em- ployment. DORRIS KEMMERER-The singing star o the class has participated in operetta fo three years which perhaps accounted fo her hobbies of piano and singing. Hippy , a Tri-Hi-Y member, has been active in dramatics club and oratory. Varying her talents, she was active i Mirror work, senior pageant, and member of the wreath committee. Sh plans to enter Oberlin College. RADELL KLEINTOP- Della , a transfer student from Danielsville, swung righ into things all around school. She serve on the basketball and football refresh ment committees, and the christma wreath committee. A Tri-Hi-Y girl fo three years at home, and one year a P. H. S., Della plans to attend the A1 lentown General Hospital School 0 Nursing. UTH KLOTZ- Kid, a Tri-Hi-Y mem ber, belonged to the debating team an 1he orchestra four years and the Mir- ror staE two years. She was a senior class play understudy, participated in the operetta two years, and played girls' basketball her junior year. Ruth, whc plans to take up nursing, will attend Temple University.

QROR EARL HENNING-Time will find Dutch in the United States Marines or Merchant Marine. He was a member of the foot- ball team his senior year. Junior sports- man's club was chosen by Earl in '39, '40 and '41, and industrial arts club rounded out his career this year. GLENN HEYDT- Angelo',, whose hobby is photography, made posters for the senior class play this year. During his junior year he participated in the Hallo- we'en Social by Working on the dance, novelty, wrap, and decorating commit- tees. After graduation he has decided to celebrate and then work. WILLIAM HOLZMAN- Holcy served on the junior class party ticket committee and helped make the Hallowe'en Social a success by assisting the refreshment committee. In regard to hobbies, he thinks bowling is tops. After having graduated Bill has decided to learn a trade. MILDRED HORN- Mi1ly,', a Tri-Hi-Y member for three years, served on the football refreshment, basketball refresh- ment, and announcement and name card committees her senior year. Class treas- urer her junior year, she was chairman of the wraps and novelty committees and served on the ticket committee for the Social. She plans to attend St. Luke's Hospital School of Nursing. CLASS OF 1942 VALERIA HREBICEK-'AVI-11 , a Tri-Hi-Y member, was a Mirror typist and an usher for the Christmas pageant. In her junior and senior years she took part in the operetta and acted as assistant busi- ness manager for the Mirror . She be- longed to glee club three years and sew- ing club this year. Valeria plans to attend Strayer's Business College. TONY JERINGO- Neno plans to assist his father in their coal business after graduation. He acted as his homeroom president in '42 and was kept busy by the senior class refreshment and Wreath com- mittees his senior year. Math club en- tertained Tony in '42 or was it vice versa? MICHAEL KAKALEJCIK- Kack'l, one of the famous Blue Ridge Country Club caddies, has the unusual hobby of study- ing aircraft. Besides entering the chess and junior sportsmens' clubs his fresh- man year, Mike also played football that year. His plans for the future are still undecided. KARL KEIPER-'tPete , who participated in football his sophomore and junior years, works as a paper carrier and trac- tor driver outside school. For hobbies he likes hunting, target shooting, and over- hauling and greasing his car. He plans to enter trade school or might possibly join the army. thirteen

WIRROR ROBERT KUTNEY-After leaving Palmer- ton high school, Robert plans to seek em- ployment. Coming to Palmerton high in '41, Chosef was elected vice-president of his homeroom in 142. At first he chose junior sportsman's club, then he changed to rifle in '41 and '42. EUGENE LEINDECKER-E u g e n e took part in the operetta from which his mus- ical talents may be seen. Due to an op- eration on his arm which forced him to miss several weeks of school, he was forced to abandon our class during the middle of this school year. FRANK LENDVAY- Slug was on the decorating committees of Hallowe'en So- cial and senior prom, and also served as advertising manager of senior class play and chairman of baseball refreshment committee. He works as a Store clerk after school and has decided to let the future take care of itself. BEATRICE LEH-'fBea , a devoted glee club member for the last four years, has participated in the operetta three years. CLASS OF 1942. Her junior year she toiled on ticket and cider garden committees for the Hallo- we'en Social, while she served on the operetta ticket committee when a sopho- more. As yet her plans are undecided. WILLIAM LIPICS-After leaving the halls of Palmerton Bull plans to work for the N. J. Z. Co. Bill had his big interest in football, playing on the varsity eleven in '40, '41 and '42, he also was chairman of the senior class color and flower com- mittee and a member of the senior class motto committee. MANUEL LOPEZ- Lolo 0 t h e r w i s e known as Devil, Pizano',, Blackie , and Jazzbo , was first-string quarter- back on the football team this year and played jay Vee basketball his junior year. Memorizing popular songs, sports, and collecting are his hobbies. His plans are to enter the United States Marine Corps. MARY MACHALEC-Mary Worked on the wreath committee her senior year and belonged to Crocheting club her freshman and sophomore years and to home eco- nomics club her senior year. Reading is her hobby. After graduation she plans to attend the Allentown Business College unless she finds a job. JEAN MACK- Mac , a Tri-Hi-Y girl, was in the operetta in her senior and junior years. During her senior year, she was a member of the Christmas wreath committee. In her junior year, , Jean was a committee head for the Hal- lowe'en Social. Mac plans to enter nurses' training. fifteen
