Floats, qu eens make parade Months of planning and hard work by the SFA Alumni Association and various campus organizations brought the 1 974 homecoming parade to a definite reality. Masses of lumber, tissue paper, chicken wire and flowers were created into award winning floats through hard work and late night hours spent by members of participating organizations. Early Saturday morning the SFA band set the pace for the traditional parade down Mound Street and through downtown Nacogdoches. Smiles, twinkling eyes and queens filled the parade line. 1 974 Homecoming Queen, Debbie Bond, Livingston senior, and Miss Nacogdoches 1974, Jeanne Mitchell, Richardson junior, highlighted the events.
