President and Mrs. Boynton Congratulations on a job well done. In order to bring to a successful conclusion the program of work necessary to obtain a degree from a recognized college, the individual needs intelligence, perseverance, ambition, understanding, and diligence. You who this year are receiving degrees from Stephen F. Austin State College have manifested these character- istics, hence are deserving of much praise and best wishes. These we now extend. As you leave the College, however, we want to express the hope that in addition to these characteristics of a scholar your sojourn at S.F.A. has caused you to deepen your respect for your fellow man, has vitalized your appreciation of beauty, has expanded your concept of personal responsibility as a member of society, and has undergirded and strengthened your faith in the Divine to the end that you will live not only thoughtful, productive lives but also wholesome, cultured, happy, purposeful ones. Of each may it be said, His cup runneth over. Paul L. Boynton, President Stephen F. Austin State College
