Power House Extra-curricular activities on the Forty Acres are varied with many colorful activities. In the fall it is football — football rallies, team send-offs, Homecoming, Lumberjack day, Freshman parade, and the football games themselves. Before the cage games begin the social season has gone into full swing with the picnics, Presentation Ball, the various Christmas dinner dances, and then the spring activities. A resourceful student body on the S.F.A. campus provides ample entertain- ment for itself. Fun and Frolic Lumberjack band performs during assembly.

Wisely Hall After 27 progressive years the ideals and buildings of the founders of Stephen F. Austin State College are still remembered and held as our guiding light. This year the enrollment has reached an all time high mark of 1,700 as compared to the 50 students in 1923. A new girls ' dormitory, fine arts building, and gym are under construction this year. These buildings have adequate facilities with which we have every opportunity to widen our scope of knowledge. It is a wonderful feeling to watch our College Among the Pines as it grows, both in enrollment and prestige and to see the delighted expressions on the faces of the Exes on Homecoming as they note the progress of our college.
