Table nf Eunterits Student Life . . . . . 3 Classes Sparta Drganizatinns . Facuhq ...... Hdsllndex . . . . . E SE 107 1L.E'i 153 2 Student Lite Stephen F. Austin From 0 distant perspective, 0 single year seems of little significance. It is merely one out of the 58 year history of Austin ejust one more evolution of fall into spring, one more champion- ship game, one more set of questions, one more graduation . . . But to have lived it is to know the tremendous change and growth which occurred in the school and the people. We can see it notjusr as merely onother turnover of graduates from some great ocodemic machine, but as o composition of i freeze-fromed motion and emotion. It is 0 cycle which is impossible to halt 0! even slow. Our people are undergoing constant change. As quickly as 0 block thunderheod builds on the horizon, pours, and blows away, we weather the storms of controversy and loss one day, only to bask in the warmth of open pride the next. As we change and grow, so grows the character of the notion. While we remain vital and full of zeol, Austin's chorocter reflected our progress. And we like it that way.
