The Eagle Stephen F. Austin Port Arthur, Texas 1977 J rqyya. Dedication--------. Mary Wall Ms. Mary Wall and the Senior class of '77 have something in common: They both began at SAF in 1971. Ms. Wall is busy all year round . Besides teaching Texas History and Girls P.E. . Ms. Wall coaches girls volleyball, basketball and track. 1975 was an especially active year for Ms. Wall when she replaced Mr. Paul Picou as Director of Activities in addition to her coaching activities and being the high school cheerleader sponsor. Ms. Wall graduated from Texas Womens University in Demon. She is currently working on her master's degree at Lamar. Mr. Charles Freeman is popular among his students as somebody who's good to talk to. He has taught chemistry and physical science at Austin since 1970 and is almost always found around a crowd of students. Before coming to SFA, Mr. Freeman taught at Lincoln from 1959. He graduated from Wiley College. Mr. Freeman is active in community affairs. He has been a member of the Port Commission and was twice a contends; for Justice of the Peace. MI. Freeman enjoys traveling and his stories about the places he has been delights his students. This is Mr. Freeman's last year of teaching. He is retiring and probably will still remain active in community affairs and traveling. Charles Freeman Time Keeps On Slipping - -- an . u .V ,, ..,.,., way,,..: Wwwwmwwrwmg .. ,. , ?.r. m . . .- - - - - Info The Future Homecoming 1976 Seniors Brent Smithhart and Angela Allen were chosen to reign as King and Queen over homecoming festivities September 27 through October 2. Mike Prince and Donna Jones were selected as Mr. and Miss Good Spirit. Terry Broussard and Paula Hebert were Mr. and Miss Good Sportsmanship. All the above students were seniors during the 1976-77 school year. A week of activities, including a fifties day, a clash day, an inside-out day, a bonfire, and the homecoming game and dance made the occasion memorable and fun. .
