Kluge, is the counciling body of Austin School. Its purpose is to train the students in government by letting them put its principles into practice. Each year S. B. C. sponsors the All-School-Banquet and the AlI-School-Picnic. This year it sponsored Austin Hi's first annual, the Austin Eagle. A TWIRP dance was given by the Council this year. The students take pride in this organization due to the fact that it is run by them and is one of the oldest and most efficient student governments in the state. The Eagles were victorious in three hf their games. and were defeated in six games. Dne game ended in a tie. The Eagles, producing some fine football play- ers, were awarded four positions on the All-District team. These went to Bobby Johnson, Bill Breaux, Jimmy Davis , and Clyde Blanchard. Rufus Williams and Charles Roberts made the All-District seeond team.
