c n Appreciation As we leave Stephen F. Austin High School, we wish to express our gratitude to our worthy superintendent, Harry L. Durham. Three years ago he came to us as a stranger, but he soon became a friend, actively interested in every phase of our school life. Since the day he arrived in Bryan he has been trying in an energetic and enthusiastic way to improve our schools in every possible way. As a result of his efforts, the Bryan school system has been growing each year, not only in material improvements, in buildings and equipment, but also in scholastic standards. We honor our superintendent as a Christian gentleman, a worthy leader of boys and girls, and a valuable citizen of Bryan. 5
