Although he is top man, still he has maintained a spirit of friendliness and a sort of open door policy. His beautiful office is always open to teachers and stu- dents alike and their problems of the day. He has cooperated unusually well with the students, working with the vari- ous organizations such as Student Council, Star, and Silver Streak. He has always been open-minded to their ideas and suggestions. Mr. Claxton has been the chief pro- moter of school spirit here at Steinmetz. He has shown good example by being a prominent audience member of our differ- ent sports events. In addition to promot- ing school spirit, he has also upheld the high standards of Steinmetz. MR. WALTER HERRICK Mr. Walter Herrick, assistant princi- pal of Steinmetz. a man of many duties, is continually working to maintain a stand- ard of order and refinement throughout the school. The school is constantly improv- ing under his untiring vigilance. It was a happy day when we saw his pleasant face return after he recovered from a serious accident. We realized then, how much he meant to Steinmetz. Page I3
