The Steinmetz Year Book has stepped along with the times. In 1935 the book was devoted largely to the Seniors. Two books a year were published. Sales amounted to 900 copies. lt was an 8 by 10 iob, pictures were pinhead in size, and all were taken in the same type of pose. Pages numbered about 70, and little attention was paid to the theme. The book sold for 31.50 per copy. ln 1939 pictures took on a less formal arrangement, and action seemed to be evident. 1940 marked the beginning of one book a year. ln 1942 drastic changes took place. The size changed to 9 by 12, and one kodachrome was included with a few pages of green added, Pictures were larger and more inter- estingly posed. Sales increased to 1900 copies. and the price was 32.50. 1944, our 10 year anniversary book, boosted sales to 2,200 1945. a 197 page book advanced to two kodachrome pages and several pages in silver and green. Department pictures were added. il--H 1948 increased the kodachrome pictures to four. and the price to 53.75. 1955 and 1956 mark the beginning ofthe long perpendicular picture. rather -ft than the horizontal type.
