Gettin Equipped to Enter the Bu mess World Upper left picture: Typing classes under competent supervision are very popular. Pupils Work to improve' their speed and accuracy. Upper right picture: Principles of good bookkeeping are taught to young people interested in getting office positions as bookkeepers. Center picture: Qualities necessary to become a good salesman are stressed in the Sales class. Procedure in selling is stressed. Lower left picture: A course in Business Training is expected of all pupils who are taking a Commercial sequence. lt is usually offered in the Freshman year. Lower right picture: Calculating machines furnished by the school are used by members of the Calculating classes. Many expert operators are turned out each year. 27

Dail S ssion in Commercial Department Upper ,lett picture: The Commercial Geography class dramatized a lesson in the cotton production industry. One feels almost as if he were in the midst of the southern cotton belt. Upper right picture: A part of the calculating class is pictured here. They are very serious about their work. They realize that their work must be accurate as Well as speedy. Lower left picture: Running a mimeograph machine and making stencils is something worth while knowing. Lower center picture: Taking dictation by shorthand is almost like learning a foreign language. Students are shown here practicing their shorthand exercises. Lower right picture: Pupils who are contemplating a legal profession will find the Commercial Law classes helpful in obtaining the rudiments of law. 28
