Rev. B. D. Reimer, ex-officio member, Peter Reimer, vice-president; Gladwin Plett, president; Ramona Loewen, without portfolio; Evelina Reimer, secretary-treasurer. It was through the vision of a few graduates that the organization of the Alumni of the Steinbach Bible Institute was formed. In 1953 during the spring conference the first temporary committee of a few ex-graduates, with the help of some teach¬ ers, set up a temporary constitution. During the fall conference a permanent committee of five members was organized. The con¬ stitution was amended to be accepted per¬ manently. The aims of the Alumni are to maintain and cultivate the fellowship of the gradu¬ ates of the Institute, to pray for the In¬ stitute and its work zealously for the moral, financial and spiritual welfare of the school, to uphold the missionary vision of the school, and to worthily represent the school and its constituency. During the spring conference, which is “home coming” week of the former gradu¬ ates, the Alumni is reorganized. We also receive the new graduates into the Alumni. To maintain and cultivate the fellowship of the graduates a paper is sent to each member every three months. The paper consists of news of the former graduates, missionary letters and other articles of interest. —Ramona Loewen 32
