Missing from picture: Susanna Wiebe. “Suffer little children to come unto me and forbid them not . . .” (Matt. 19:14). “Even so it is not the will of your Father which is in heaven that one of these little ones should perish.” (Matt. 18:14). These are some of the key verses from God’s word in our course on Child Evan¬ gelism which we were privileged to take in night classes. Many blessed and very worthwhile moments were spent in concen¬ trating on God’s word and will concerning His ‘little ones.’ His desire for their sal¬ vation and how this might best be met were the themes of our study. Questions such as: Can little children be lost? Can they be saved? Will a child conversion last? were answered, and the great need and possibility for children to accept Christ at an early age was made very clear. The importance of presenting the Gospel to the children and leading them to Christ was stressed not only because God has commanded this to believers or because children can be lost, but also, because it is a very fruitful work in the number of souls saved. Experienced and well-known evangelists have testified that many more children will accept salvation than adults and that the majority of these conversions will last. Ways and means of how best to present the Gospel, were also taken up and are of great value in thi s work. We are thankful for this opportunity of preparing ourselves for better service for the Lord. Our prayer is that He may be able to use us for the salvation of more souls. —Margaret Toews

SPECIAL STUDENTS MRS. MARGARET DUECK. Steinbach Our sister profitably takes time off from her household duties to attend classes in Prayer and Child Evangelism. Her loving manner will stand her in good stead in the Master’s service. LAWRENCE REIMER, GIROUX, man. Brother Lawrence has adopted a good policy: not to undertake a task so great that it cannot be accomplished. He is taking the course in four years. He says, “I wish to let the world see Jesus in me and to tell the lost of the sav¬ ing power of Jesus Christ.” JACOB DUECK, rosenort. man. He began his Bible training in Altona and came to Steinbach to continue taking his second year. However, the Lord put an ob¬ stacle in his path; ill health compelled him to discontinue his studies for the time be¬ ing. In brother Dueck we have an example of true Christian sincerity. The Cry of the Millions There are millions today who in anguish are crying, For someone to show them “The Way.” “Is there no one who cares that as sinners we’re dying No hope for that great judgment day?” “We have no peace — we live in despair Even though to our gods we oft pray, Still evil spirits are everywhere. Come help us, Oh! do not delay.” How can we then turn a deaf ear to the cry Of the millions who never have heard The glad Gospel of Christ who this peace doth supply As revealed in God’s Holy Word ? Do we say we have joy and sweet peace in our heart. And commune with our Saviour and King, But yet are unwilling to them to impart The Way” which these blessings doth bring? Therefore millions in fear out in darkness are dying Because workers today are so few Who are burdened and heed to their mournful crying. Dear Christian, is it nothing to you ? —Elizabeth Reimer 25
