You can be sure that your pride is shared here where the impressive potential and high daily state of readiness of the ships, squadrons and personnel of the Kitty Hawk and Midway battle groups have not been overlooked. You have shouldered the lead of U.S. military capability in the Mideast and your efforts are greatly admired and appreciated by all of us here at home. You and your families have waited long and persevered in the face of our nation's need to demonstrate a show of visible strength and determination in a troubled area.
