Schools Recognize NEA Centennial During American Education Week The year 1957 was particularly sig- nificant to the progress of education in our country, for it marked the Centen- nial of the National Education Associa- tion, an organization that has played such an important part in helping to raise the quality of American public schools to its high present-day level. During American Education Week, November 11 to 17, the Steelton-High- spire chapter of this association en- couraged the co-operation of teachers, pupils, and local merchants in prepar- ing window displays designed to stimu- late a stronger community interest in school activities.
