We sincerely hope that it will be meaningful to all who love Steelton High. We have emphasized throughout the book the significance of Stones,', the theme of our yearbook, in our lives. These include both polished and unpolished stones. Among these are the Stepping Stones to graduation, the classroom instruction, the Corner Stone, the training provided by the school to develop all sides of an individual, and the Keystone, the moral values that we learned were so necessary in building a firm foundation for living. Of special significance is the Lodestone, a stone with magnetic attraction. We feel that the Lodestone of Steelton High is that intang- ible quality that makes Steelton High dear to the hearts of all who know her. As we, the members of the class of 1954, leave the life we have known here to travel our separate roads, may this Lodestone draw our hearts ever back to Steelton High, the molder of our youth.
