DEDICATISON To the boys, former alumni and students of Steele Schools, who so nobly and unseliishly gave their lives or several years of their lives, in the service of our country, we humbly dedicate this our 1958 edition of The Bulldog. We realize that if it were not for them and the other thousands like them all over the United States, we could not and probably would not be enjoying the many blessings of liberty for which our forefathers also nobly fought and died. We are proud of every one of them and shall never forget to be grateful for their sacrifice. The Staff

Rebecca Ridge ------- 8 The 1958 edition of The Bulldog , has been edited by a small group known as the Publications Class. We hope you enjoy this annual. This is how you look as a student of Steele School in 1958. We have tried to include everything that has happened this year in the annual. The Publications Class has put in many hours of thinking, planning, and just plain working in order to be able to present you with an annual that you would be proud of in all the years to come. When we first started working on the annual, it was a new experience in the editorial field. We began the year studying principles of journalism and copy writing. We have had many projects this year. Among them was publishing the school paper, The Grow1 . Each member of the class was responsible for one page of the paper. We have twelve members and as you can see, we usually had a good-sized paper. We managed to publish a paper almost every month. We also had a weekly column in the Steele Enterprise , The Bulldog Growls. We saved all of our columns when they were published, and put them in our scrap- book. We bought the scrapbook and a paper cutter for our department with the money we made from the sale of our school paper,
