“1041151 Cfaaa ,Maier In the school tenm beginning l9L8, ten students were found composing the Freshmen class. They were very ambitious and eager to start out high school correctly, and they did so by electing class officers: President--Phyllis Lampe Vice President--Carolyn Novotny Secretarye--Barbara Minks Treasurer---Ethel Kulhanek Their other classmates were Marjorie Carmichael, Eva Moor- man, Dixie Schoen, Lola Marks, Marilyn Grone, and Donald Hoffman. Their sponsor was Miss Taylor. The Freshmen were surprised to find that they survived Initiation. In l9h9, the same faces were back in the brick building on the hill, minus three of them. They then became the only all girl class, and continued this today. Officers were elected: President--Dixie Schoen Secretarye--Carolyn Novotny Treasurer--Phyllis Lamps Student Council--Ethel Kulhanek Mr. Ehlers was our sponsor. The class enjoyed music and sports. Miss Kennedy our sponsor for the following year, 1950, met with us, and we found we had dimished to five. The officers were: President--Barbara Minks Secretaryh-Marilyn Grone Treasurere-Phyllis Lampe Student Council--Carolvn Novotny The Class was making history by the presentation of their play HThe Clue of the Red Ribbonn, which was an all girl play. They showed excellent taste as a class by choosing beautiful class rings from the Herff Jones Co. They made an eventful year by participating in music, sports, speech, and dramatics, and they were looking forward to their Senior and final year in S.C.H.S. The following school tenn 1951-52, found the same faces in the Senior Class. They elected officers and found they were to be the same as the previous year.
