W.P.I. .L. Class AAA Champs The 1983 Ironmen Track Team cap- tured the W.P.I.A.L. Class AAA track and field championships on May 20, 1983. The Ironmen relay team consisted of M. Anderson, B. Jones, D. Dutrieville, and C. Davis. This FABULOUS foursome ran into a little bit of trouble in the 2nd and 3rd legs of the championship race. The problem started when Dutrieville miscalculated the distance between him and Jones and began to run. Jones immediately caught the error and yelled for Duane to stop, so they would not be fouled. Duane stopped and started his leg of the race again. The Ironmen were in 5th place and 5 meters out of lst place when C. Davis proceeded after Dutrieville. Davis then ran what could be considered the most impressive 100 meters of his days at Steel Valley High, and gave the Ironmen lst place in the W.P.I.A.L. 533 A... irfr 5. . g Si.
