Have you seen a cute little girl running to school lately? Well, that was Agatha trying to get there on time. T.hough nursing is her future career and she doesn't even take the commercial course, she's just crazy over writing out Bills. Agatha was voted class heartbreaker. Now, can you imagine why! A. 1, 2, 3, 45 Junior Exhibition, Second Prize 35 Glee Club 3, 4, Northern Maine Music Festival 3, 4, Home-Room Secretary 4, Senior Play 45 Operetta 4. June was vioted best-natured girl in the class, and she has certainly earned her title. ERNESTINE E. LEGASSEY Tim Social Science Course: St. Martin's High School. Stearns High School: Gym Exhibition 3, G. A. A. 3, 4, Glee Club 3, 4, Northern Maine Music Festival 3, 4, Future Homemakers 4, Senior Play 4g Operetta 4. . u Here is the Florence Nightingale of our class and another star in senior play as the French maid. Ernestine is a lively brunette with lots of personality. Her serious manner often belies the mischief within, but her'dimples always give her away. Her weakness, she says, is music. We wonder! JAMES EARL LYONS llJim7l Vocational Shop Course. Jim is a good worker in the shop and can do anything with a piece of machinery. He's another one w.ho hates to dress up, especially to have a picture taken. Take a look at the result, though, and it's not hard to understand why Jimmy was voted the best-looking boy in the class. Quick? Yup, that's Betsy. She is one of the lucky girls with naturally curly hair, and a blonde at that! Betsy's favorite subject is home economics, but she doesn't really need that kind of instruction to get .her man. She's a born cook anyway, and you ought to see her maneuver a canoe. DONNA CAROLINE HILTON Butch Stenographic Course: G. A. A. 1, Band 1, Easter Pageant 3, Srwops and Scoops 4. Here's to the girl with a winning smile and a pleasant personality! We all know that her weakness is East Millinocket and her ambition is to be a Frenchman's wife. Seeing that there's only one Page in her diary that counts, it won't be long now. Good luck, Donna! When it comes tn sports, Mary Lou is one of the best basketball players and bowlers we .have in G. A. A. She's also a staunch sup- porter of the Boston Red Sox. All Mary Lou wants for graduation is the kind of Lug-gage that will last a lifetime. We almost think she'll get it. JOHN MICHAEL McDADE Bird Vocational Shop C'ourse: Football 3, 4. Hunting for McDade? Look for a big black Pontiac that sounds like an armored car. McDade is a tall fellow and a good prospect for the Air Force. By the way, girls, he's not going steady, and we have it on good authority that if you want to hook anyone, Jack is a good catch! V. 33 Biology Club 2, Football 4. Tubby was voted most independent, and nobody would disagree! Whatever is Miss Gross gmoing to do without Tubby in English class? All kidding aside, we all know and like him. His favorite pastime is doing nothing, his ambition is to be a millionaire. With this combina- tion success is inevitable. WILLIAM RONALD McLEAN Smiley Vocational Shop Course: Band 1, 2, 3, 4, Northern Maine Music Festival 2, 3, 45 New England Music Festival 3. If you hear someone talking sixty miles an hour, you can guess it's Ilill. Bill's a good man cn the lathe in machine shop. His favorite pastime is following shifts at the mill, but sleeping runs a close second. Out of his dozen nicknames, we think Smiley fits him best. Sixteen
