In October the band traveled to Fort Collins where they marched and did field maneuvers. The band received a II rating. In Feb- ruary many individuals participated in the Solo and Ensemble Contest. Judy Iacovetto, Robin Rich, and Kathleen Powell were selected to All State Honor Band in March. In April Dr. William Kelley led the band in clinic. He presented the band with a trophy on which the I ratings are to be recorded. At the State Music Festival the band received a hard earned II. They participated in all concerts and attended the State Music Festival where they received the rating of II. Rita St. Louis and Judy Iacovetto attended All State Chorus. The chorus also participated in the opening of the Christ- mas Season and in the night show of the Winter Carnival.
