Superintendent and Principal's Message It is again a privilege to make a small coi tribution to the annual. I hope that what I sj in this message will give some inspirationi the members of the Class of 1954. Lavater has said, The great rule of mori conduct is, next to God, to respect time. Or of Franklin's adages reads, Dost though lov life? -- Then do not squander time, for that the stuff life is made of. All of us draw the same salary in second minutes, and hours each day. The minut wasted yesterday are as lost as a vanished though Don't waste time worrying about what migh happen; spend it making things happen. Stop saying, If I had time, for you wi 1 .never find time for anything--if you want timi 1 you must take it. Act toward people as thougl this might be your last day on earth. Don't wai I for tomorrow. Tomorrow never comes. Someone has said, Character is the resul of two things; mental attitude and the way w spend our time. ” It is my wish that we, ii Steamboat Springs High School, have helpei you develop a fine mental attitude and som habits of the worthy use of time. My best wishes for your future. Sincerely yours, GEORGE P. SAUEI It is my sincerest wish to the graduating class of 1954 that as you are about to step off into a career of your own in this world, you pause a moment and re- flect upon the past achievements and failures you have made and then take time to project your thoughts into the future so that in order to think upon those things that will enable you to better serve the com- munity in which you will live. Take time to build a better world for yourselves. Take time to live a full life, intellectually, morally and physically. All of my time shared with you the past four years has been most worthwhile and I sincerely trust that you have profited by the time that you have spent in attending high school. With the very best of wishes for the success of each and everyone of you I am. Most sincerely yours, MILLER J. STEWART
