A UteMoye It has been a privilege to work with the students, and faculty of Steamboat Springs Schools for another school term. I extend my heartiest thanks for your support and for your loyalty. To the mem- bers of the class of 1951, I extend my best wishes for successful happy lives. I wish that my message to you could be one of joy and happiness. I wish that it would not be necessary for me to tell you that you face grave responsibilities as you go out into a very troubled world. The fate of this great nation lies as much in your hands as it has in the hands of any other generation. It has never been necessary for the people of our nation to be guided by a despot or dictator. The reason for this is that all freedom and all democracy are based on self-guidance, on self-discipline. If you would keep this great nation of ours free you must learn self-discipline. I hope that I have made at least some small contribution helping each of you toward a well-adjusted life. Sincerely, George P. As you are about to take up your full share of the world's responsibilities I would ad- monish you to be ever mindful of living a well balanced life. Be honest, sincere, and truth- ful in all dealings with your fellowman. Keep your spiritual ideals as much to the forefront as you do your ideals of business and pleasure. So discipline yourself that you will not break under the strain of ayworld in turmoil. As General Robert E.
