454 fre am Queenie Almeta This year the Senior Class Sponsored the first winter formal, a Christmas Ball on December 23 Streamers of green and white crepe paper gave the illusion of a false ceiling over the dance loor Snow covered trees in the outdoor scene at one end of the floor, red candles, and green holly on white cloth covered tables at the other end carried out the theme of nW1nter'Wonderland N Two silver-laden Christmas trees decorated the room- a giant one in the corner by the fireplace and a tiny one in the center of the dance floor. Red bells and Santa Claus and his reindeer Just leaving, completed the scene. Stubby Mills' orchestra played fgr the dance of the evening. The Climax of the evening came when Colleen Hales was crowned Queen of the Ball. The princesses and their escorts were: Freshmen, Dorothy Lampman and Johnny Lampman, Marcella Minten and Glen Hatchg Sophomores, Doris Heal and Ron Lengacher, Claudia Hinrichs and Bill James, Juniors, Geraldine Kline and Dick Downer, Laura Rice and Paul Dumang Seniors, Cheryl Morgan and Gil Knox, Colleen Hales and Bob Pallett.
