In witness whereof, we, the Class of 1947, The Testator, have set our hand and seal on this day of June in the year of our Lord, Nineteen Hundred and Forty-seven. n SENIOR CLASS PROPHECY Last week, while looking through an old high school an- nual I began to wonder whatever became of the class of 1947. So the very next day I packed my bags, hired a helicopter, and headed west--destination: Stayton, Oregon. Arriving there within a couple of hours, I landed the helicopter on the top of a building, rode the elevator down to street level, and there hesitated a moment in doubt. I didn't know what to do next. The thriving metropolis of Stay- ton that now confronted me was very unlike the Stayton I once knew. As I stood there I noticed a man approaching through the crowd, He seemed to recognize me and in a moment I recog- nized him, too. It was Burdette Rice. To my surprise I found that he was the owner and manager of the Stayton Mail, one of the largest newspapers in the state of Oregon. When I told him that I was trying to locate all of our classmates, he of- fered to help, saying that some were still in and around Stay- ton. M On this same block stands the home and business estab- lishment of Normalene Lynch and Alfreda Kenley. They sell rare and beautiful flowers. Neither have married, although they both have countless suitors. We went to the Stayton Mail office to see Rose Shaffer, who is the originator of nHandsome Henry,n the famous comic fd thgiif
