To our Staunton graduates I say CONGRATULA- TIONS and I offer one statement of caution. Do NOT depend too much on GENIUS. Did you know that the genius of Lincoln, Edison, Ford and others, when analyzed, boils down to the ABILITY TO DO HARD WORK? All of these men labored long into the night and diligently during the daylight hours, mastering the problems that gave us comforts, lux- ury and ever-ready conveniences of today. During your life you have within your power to add to the problems of soceity or--to help solve them. To help solve them you need to be well informed. Your opinions should be based upon facts as distin- guished from gossip, rumor or propaganda. Cul- tivate an attitude of understanding and apprecia- tion of the rights of others and a willingness to do your part. W.K.
