CLASS HISTORY In 1952 seventy-nine greeny freshmen entered Staunton Community High School. This class was so green it took us all year to elect class officers. As soon as that was accomplished we had our Freshman Party, which again mark- ed our individuality. Remember, the class president washed the dishes! As sophomores we grew both brave and lazy. This year we didn't do anything. During our junior year we were really on the ball. We gave the most successful Halloween Party, had the best Prom and had one of the better floats. As seniors our thoughts were turned toward graduation and the future. To start off we finally elected a Homecoming Queen. Long live Elitra! After that we really got rolling and gave a party to raise money that would help us to sponsor our yearbook of 54-55. And now as we sadly leave S. C. H. S. we know that we will long remember the good times we had and just ever so slightly, we feel that same green feeling as we enter into the world as fresh- men.
