Sporty A wheel cannot turn without its many spokes, A team cannot fight without its many players. Eleven men, all striving for the glory of their school, Hours of team work, the last winning touchdown, our heroes. Though the odds were against him, a wrestler struggled with unfailing strength. Brave knights of the Cinder track gave their last breath to S. H.S. With the swing of a bat, the ball surpassed the fence. Tired expressions, dirty uniforms, a great score for a greater team. Echoes of a ball against a racket mark the sound of a champion sport. A year without basketball would never be complete, Their practice is not in vain, graceful shots make a higher score. Grand coaches, hearty congratulations, a night well spent. As the sky opened its door to a million raindrops, Cheers from a spirit filled school still filled the night air. All other thoughts seemed to vanish, the sport, the players were your only cares. Our band played the last stanza of Loyal and True The instruments were put away. Music of a theme song, a year most gracious rings over and over. It is the melody your heart will forever sing. A j
