THE STUDENTS or STATESBOBO HIGH SCHOOL have enjoyed a number of N delightful evenings during these nine months. We have two social clubs in school. The J. T. J., which was or- x'. ganized in '33 with ten members, and as these original J. T. J.'s graduated Q others were invited to take their places, thus keeping ten active members Q in high school. We hope to carry this idea on with us so that we might ' always have our original number of ten members in school. X L The T. E. T. Club, composed of ten boys organized during the year of '36, but they have lost no time by their late organization, in fact, f' they've made up for it by having some sort of entertainment every Friday night. This Q, club, too, expects to leave members in high school each year so that their club may ' progress and in the future be something to look back on and remind them of their won- ' derful days in high school. One of our most enjoyable occasions of the year was the lovely four-course dinner Z at the Brooks House with which the J. T. J.'s entertained their dates. Afterwards the jg party attended a dance at the Womans Club Room, which was sponsored by a group 'X of high school boys. Every member of the party being so congenial made a delightful evening for all. The boys began their big Friday nights, the best night of all to a high school student, with a Wiener roast at Winona AldI'ed's home in Andersonville. After the best picnic lunch we've ever eaten everybody wanted to dance. So the music was furnished by several members of the party who played the piano and the radio tuning in every now and then. Nevertheless we had plenty of fun. During the Christmas holidays the original J. T. J.'s, together with the active mem- , ' bers of the club, gave a dance at the club room, which was beautifully decorated with I 'i ' red and green. The room was surrounded with Christmas trees and garlands and festoons, completing a beautiful setting. The Professors furnished our music. All the mothers of the J. T. J.'s were invited and most of them attended. MEMBERS MARY SUE AKINS . . . . President BOBBIE SMITH .... Vice-President MARGARET REMINGTON . Secy. and Treas.
