He was a man, take him for all in all, I shall not look upon his like again. Shakespeare He was always there. It is difficult to describe in words the life of a man who has done it all. Some knew him as the 'guy on the porch,' with the baggy pants and keys. Some knew him as the man out there on the field, in the tractor. To all of us, Al Giordano, long time custodian at Staten ls- land Academy, was a friend. Completely dedicated to his work, his school and his friends, Al cheerfully carried out var- ious tasks on the Academy campus for twenty- three years. His concerned efforts towards making our school a better place in which to live and learn are sincerely appreciated, and his presence here will be sorely missed. With a quick little nudge and a twinkle in his eye, he would say, You know Who they used to come back to see? Not the teachers, but Gin- ny and good ol' Al. lt was true. Who would have returned to the Academy Without a hello to Muscle Mann? Those of us who knew Al personally re- member his wit, his knowledge and that un- mistakable chuckle of approval. His uncanny memory for people and his versatile conver- sationalism awarded him numerous acquaint- ances. Now, on his well deserved retirement to Florida, he is remembered by all as a dear friend and respected member of the Academy staff. Thanks Aly We'll never forget you.
