Faculty Council NOT LISTED AS PICTURED ABOVE: Richard Phillips, Randy Wright, John King, Margie Hobbs, Dr. Paul Dudenhefer. In view of the expected growth in size and complexity of the faculty of State Technical Institute at Memphis, the resulting need for improved ways and means of organizing this faculty into a coherent body dedicated to the study and improvement of the academic climate of this Institute, and to provide channels of communication by which the results of faculty study and deliberation may be formulated into recommendations to the administration of the Institute, the Faculty Council of State Tech- nical Institute at Memphis is hereby organized. The Faculty Council, elected by the faculty each fall quarter, provides a means whereby members may investigate matters of general Institute interest, pass resolutions, and consult with and make recommendations to the President and other admin- istrative officers. i} 57
