Through donation of their (the club advisors) time and energy students are able to choose to participate in some 15 clubs and organizations that fall into three categories: social, profes- It should be noted that the time is donated by the professional staff as club advisors is totally free. These State Tech faculty and staff are not given any compensation is the form of pay or time off for their services donated to these clubs. For this donation of time we sincerely thank all faculty and staff who have participated during the last year while serving as club advisors. What is the impact of clubs and organizations at State Tech? What do students gain from becoming involved in clubs and organizations at State Tech? The following list of accomplishments, while it is not inclusive, could give a student an idea of what is available to them and what is to be gained by their participation in the clubs. 1. As a result of the fund raising events sponsored by the clubs and organizations on State Tech's campus six (6) students are on scholarship. 2. As a result of the clubs and organization on campus, some 31 guest speakers from business and industry have been invited on campus to speak to students during activity period. These 3. Fifty-two events, such as dances, parties, potluck suppers, and seminars, have been sponsored by the clubs and organizations on State Tech's campus or in the community over the past 4. The clubs and organizations on State Tech's campus have attended some eight conventions or professional meetings. As a result of this, some 95 students have had the opportunity to 5. Fifteen students from the clubs and organizations on State Tech's campus have participated in holding national or state office, receiving awards, presenting paper, or receiving national or 6. Itis estimated that some 105 students have benefited directly in the placement process from their involvement in the clubs and organizations. This benefit could have come from having the opportunity to meet prospective employers during activity period who were serving as guest speakers or as a result of their participation in a club or organization, they were a better candidate The above accomplishments all took place during this year. It is easy to see that the clubs and organizations on STIM’s campus have provided a very valuable part in student services. The clubs and organizations would not be successful if it was not through the time donated and the services given by the faculty and staff while serving as club advisors. It is hoped that all persons on STIM’s campus will make it known to these individuals how much we appreciated their time and services. 51

Super Seven Service Club (SUPER 7) Super Seven Social Club The Super Seven Social Club was organized to promote meaningful social activities for all State Tech students. These activities may be on and off campus. The club is also involved in community projects for the needy.
