Glau Jam C3 X f+:fjgi'v'V 4 W? nn-ml Q Can you find - Jean Harden, Marie Starrett, and Ralph Courtney lin the first grade class of Miss Pricel . The class cf '47 was the first class of first graders to enter State High. Our first year is remem- bered by the party that was held. Misses Helen Price and Janet Pleitz were our teachers. ln the second grade we gave an Indian play. Heap big success!-at least our parents liked it. ll thinkl. The rest of our elementary years were comparatively uneventful, except for the dog show that was given in the sixth grade for a convocation. ln l943 we started our trip through high school, after two enjoyable years in junior high, by not doing anything outstanding. lThe class has tried desperately to continue this practicel. Came our sophomore year. ln November we gave the traditional skating party. Everyone had fun. At Christmas we sang carols in the halls. Then we were juniors. Since the sophomores didn't give a skating party, we gave one. This also was a succes.s Come Christmas and we had a big party with plenty of fun and food. We also gave a mixer to support the Junior Prom. We had a big turnout. Our Prom was the outstanding event of the junior year. Barbara Goodwin was crowned queen. I-ler attendants were Carol Taflinger, Frances Lemaire, Pat McCarthy, and Naia Chopson. Then to our amazement, we found ourselves seniors. We started the year with a mixer, which would have been a success if the juke box had been in working condition. We began working on the Analyst in December. After much persuasion a majority of juniors and seniors had their pictures taken. Everybody in the class worked on the year book making it the best Analyst ever made by a graduating class of State High. We especially want to thank Lois Sloan, our editor, for her work on the year book. We gave the traditional play too, using a cast from the entire high school. We had a big turn- out for the play, which was enjoyed by all. Then there was the Senior Farewell and the Senior picnic. Both were carefully planned and every- one had fun. Before we knew it we were preparing for commencement, which we were all looking for- ward to and yet dreading, for we have really enjoyed the years spent here in dear old State High.
