The Analgst Staff at Work in the Earlg Stages of the Year Book REVIEW OF THE SCHOOL YEAR To start our school year this year, we had a new principal and two assistants. l believe that Dr. Westfall, with the help of Mr. Strong and Miss Goshorn, has taken over the re- sponsibilities our school presents in a grand manner, The Senior class started the activities of the year by having a mixer soon after school had begun. Honey Creeks Y-Teens club had the first formal dance of the year lHarvest Moonl which many of our students attended. On November l our basketball season began. This was a season everyone looked for- ward to. lt extended through February. The Annual Star Dust Dance, sponsored by the Y-Teen lnnerclubs, was given in De- cember. There were quite a number representing State High at this dance. - Wiley had their annual Sweetheart Dance in February and many of our students at- tended this dance also. We could go on and on telling you about everything we have done this year, but we clon t have enough space so we shall list some of the outstanding activities. The Y-Teens sold gold and blue beanies in February and had a Hobo Party in April which was a success. ice The Handbooks were distributed in January. These are a big help to new students. Our Science Club was host to the Jr, Academy of Science held here in October. The American Education Week Tea was held in November. Many mothers were present.
