Toward a Bright Future SFCC received state-wide recognition when William C. Hopkins, chairman of our board of trustees, was elected president of the Missouri Associat ' on of Community and Junior Colleges for 1977-78. Bw. The Greek columns, the torch and the wheel of industry in the SFCC emblem aptly summarize the multi-faceted role of our college. SFCC not only trains area residents in technical skills such as welding or typing, but also offers courses in the Division of Arts and Science for those who plan to transfer to a four-year college. The evening courses, under the Community Services Division, help hundreds of day-workers to earn college credit or learn a hobby such as wood carving or knitting.
