One of the men who has made this achievement possible is Dr. Stephen Poort. Since the first days of this institution Dr. Poort has been ready to act-with ideas, plans, and wholehearted faith in the abilities of every- one connected with SFCC. With sincere regard to the problems of each individual, Dr. Poort has helped to establish a tradition at SFCC-a tradition of respect and rap- port between members of the staff and the stu- dent body. It is with the deepest regret that we see Dr. Poort leave our college, but his efforts and successes will not have been in vain.
