DEDICATION To Miss Eleanor Ley, we, the Class ol' l95-1, proudly dedicate our yearbook. XVe are happy to do this, lor Miss Ley has been a laithlul and valuable counselor throughout our high school years. Electing to stay with us lor the lull six years, she has completed a task perliormed by only one other Counselor, to date. Xlfhether she took a liking to us, or whether she was alraid no other teacher could cope with us, we'll never know. XVe do know, however, that Miss Ley stood by us, and we're sure we presented no small number ol problems. Our thanks to you, Miss Ley! Having been graduated lrom Penn State, Miss Ley was lamiliar with State College belore she became a teacher in our high school. She came here lrom South Fork, in I9-15, and has held sway in Room 2ll ever since. .Xside from teaching Latin, Miss Ley spon- sors Tri-Hi-Y, and roots lor State High teams at every game she can squeeze into her schedule. School and associated activities leave little time for personal recreation. However, Miss Ley does save time lor a few things which give her special pleasure. For instance every Tuesday eve- ning is reserved lor bowling with the Hypatias. Although she ad- mits not being particularly lond ol house work, she loves to llllt- ter around outside, planting bulbs, trimming the lawn, and the like. Wfitll so many activities, we were amaled that she always seemed to have time reserved lor us, to help solve a problem, or merely to chat. Yes, to Miss Ley we give a heart-felt thanks. Wle shall always remember her as an excellent teacher, a hard-working counselor, and - most important ol all - a true friend. '1,. 'm 'A if
