CLASS CDF I966 Cfficers and Advisors Diane Schmelzle, Dennis Kroll, Presidentg Richard Smith, Vice Presidentg and Tom Kreppenneck, Treasurer The Class of '66 began its high school ex- perience in the fall of '6l. Cooperation with the Sophomore Class in sponsoring a dance, estab- lished the class socially. As sophomores we went to work establishing our place athletically. Our Junior Varsity basket- ball team won first place in the League and we did well in other sports. Three dances were spon- sored: Fa1l Frolic, 'Roman Holiday' Cremem- bered for its beautiful fountain, not because of what it looked like, but because of all the work it took to get what we ended up withj and Surfin' Time. The latter dance brought the year to a close. During our junior year we kept busy trying to raise money to support our activities. We spon- sored a bake sale and dances. The first dance of the year was 'Getting to Know You. Its purpose was to introduce newcomers to Starpoint and hon- Miss Mary Ann Mr. Steven Olick Scirto or our football and cross country teams. We also sponsored the Question Mark , and Green, Green. Many juniors helped make the Junior-Senior Prom a success. Linda Fleming and Larry Peters were crowned Princess and Prince. The year ended with the annual Senior banquet for the Class of 1965. Our senior year began quickly with the dance 'Meet the Spartans. It attracted many Spartans. The football team came within four seconds of the championship, while our cross country team won the sectional championship. The Christmas Dance 'Mistletoe and Holly 65 proved to be a success. The Senior Prom, Senior banquet, and finally graduation brought to an end our history as the Class of 1966. They were good years and will be long remembered.
