Shep Crigler, one of the leading members of the Senior Class, has lettered in baseball, basketball, and football. He has been a member of the S Club, Presidents' Council, Youth Center Council, Math Club, Community Youth Council, and the Junior and Senior Play Casts. On the Hi-Jacket staff, he has served as sports editor, and editor, ln the Who's Who Contest he was named most outstanding Freshman, Sopho- more, Junior, and Senior. Shep is a member of the Presbyterian Church. 1954 lla Janet Gregory, a very active student at S, H, S, , has been a mem- ber of the Cxlee Club, Y-Teens, F, H. A. , 4-H Club, Physical Ed. Club, The French Club in which she was an officer, and the Community Youth Council. On the Hi-Jacket staff, she has served as copy reader and fashion editor. Janet has also been class editor and feature editor of the an- nual. She was elected a cheerleader and Yellow Jacket beauty. This year Janet was Maid of Honor in the Homecoming Court. She was crown- ed Queen ofthe Dairy Festival also. ln the Who's Who Contest, Janet was most beautiful, friendliest, andmost charming. She is a member of the Methodist Church. 0! 1953 Elaine Mullins, Roger Clapp, Clara Page, Bobby Neal, Anne Ragland, Bo Strange, Betty Bell, Charlie McReynolds, Carole Clark, Don Hoover, Beth Mclngvale, Ed Hend- ley, Martha Pope, Bobby Cunning- ham, Edna Mae Stanley, Billy Gregg Nancy Teasley, Mickey McKell, The Little Sisters and Escorts: Rebecca Lolley, John Stillman, Sally Ruffin, Billy Echols, The Yellowjackets elected Anne Ragland as their Queen. Janet Gregory and Patsy Bailey were her Maids of Honor. Captain Froggie Daniels crowned the Queen, Co- captain Leslie Drane presented her a beautiful bouquet of red roses. The Maids were then escorted off the field. Queen Anne and her Maids of Honor were driven around the field in a convertible. jdlne Anne Ragland, avery popular girl at S, H, S, , has been a rnem- ber of the Glee Club, Y-teens, F, H, A. , Latin Club, President's Council, and Community Youth Council. Anne has been a member of the Hi-Jacket Staff, serving as exchange editor and Society editor and also a member of the Yellow- Jacket staff, serving as Feature editor and Co-editor. She was elected Cheerleader, Homecoming Beauty, and Oueen. She was also elected Junior Queen. In the Who's Who Contest she was named Miss S, H, S, and Girl Most Likely to Succeed. She was also a member of the Junior and Senior Play casts Anne is a member of the Methodist Church. 4-, 'JS Leslie Drane has served as president and vice-president of his class and was salutatorian. He was on the President's Council, Community Youth Council and Youth Center Coun- cil, On the Annual Staff Leslie was Sports editor, then Co-editor, he was also Sports editor for the Hi-Jacket. He has been a member of the Physics club, Math club, and S club. Leslie has lettered in football, baseball, basketball and was an All Little Ten Back, I-Ie also received the Most Valuable player award. Leslie is a member of the Presbyterian Church.
