Homecoming Day started in the auditorium with an assembly program featuring the beauties and favorites. At ll:O0 the Homecoming pa- rade began featuring the floats sponsored by the various classes, The Cheerleaders staged a pep rally Friday afternoon in the auditorium, The student body joined with the Cheerleaders in chanting the yells, The high point of the day was the pre- ame ceremony on Jaycee Field begore the Jacket's game with the Ackerman Indians, Mor- ris Adams, master of ceremonies, introduced the Maids and their escorts. She was chosen on the outstanding qualities of: l. Dependability--which includes truthfulness, loyalty, and punc- tuality. Z. Service--which includes cooperation, courtesy, and consideration of others. 3. Leadership--which includes personality, self-control, and ability to assume responsibility. 4. Patriotism--which includes unselfish interest in family, school, community, and nation. The medal is awarded annually by the Daughters of the American Revolution. JANET GREGORY

Janet Gregory and Patsy Bailey were her Maids of Honor. Captain Froggie Daniels crowned the Queen, Co- captain Leslie Drane presented her a beautiful bouquet of red roses. The Maids were then escorted off the field. Queen Anne and her Maids of Honor were driven around the field in a convertible.
